Welcome to CwmRide. 'Cwm' is a Welsh word meaning steep valley, and we have plenty of them in south Wales. Seasoned riders may be familiar with the name Cwmcarn, indeed may have even ridden the trails there - 70,000 people a year do! It's known as a mountain bike mecca, and rightly so. When I got my first mountain bike in 1985, you'd have be lucky to see another cyclist in the same valley.

The great thing about South Wales is that it's filled with awesome trails that are known to only a few locals and no one else. Over the many years I have been riding in the area, I have put together rides that cater to all levels and leave you a better cyclist than when you started the day.

Wales is a beautiful country. Its natural history is juxtaposed with its industrial legacy, resulting in unique landscape. From just above Cwmcarn on a clear day you can see Penyfan in the Brecon Beacons on the horizon. The best part is that it's possible to ride the 35 miles there, crossing just 2 roads. This is real mountain biking, not tow path riding. It's an experience that will leave you thirsting for your next off road ride.

I've ridden all over the world and  South Wales has some of the most fun and entertaining trails. That's the reason behind CwmRide. It gives you the ability to experience a new area with a qualified MIAS (Mountainbike Instructors Award Scheme) guide, but most importantly to have fun.
